Sigridur Osk’s most recent and current engagements include the role of TISBE Cenerentola for Chroma at Iford Arts this summer, a Classical Opera Company Handel‘s concert with chamber orchestra at Kings Place, a concert at the Salurinn Concert Hall in Iceland with pianist Jonas Ingimundarson, a recital of songs by S. Barber with pianist Nina Margrét Grimsdóttir at Gerðuberg in Iceland, as well as a recital of Scandinavian songs in the concert series Concerti Della Sagrestia del Borromini in Rome, and the title role Orfeo for Classical Opera Company.

Sigridur studied at the Benjamin Britten International Opera School at the Royal College of Music in London, graduated from the Opera Course in 2008 and was awarded MMus in 2009. In Iceland she was awarded a BA as a pianist and a piano teacher as well as a diploma in singing. She currently studies with Russell Smythe.
Her operatic roles include ARBATE Mitridate, THE SANDMAN Hänsel und Gretel, ARCANE Teseo, MOTHER GOOSE The Rake‘s Progress, ZWEITE DAME Die Zauberflöte, CHERUBINO Le Nozze di Figaro, OCTAVIA L‘incoronazione di Poppea, The CAT and the SQUIRREL L‘enfant et les sortilèges and FIRST WITCH Dido and Aeneas.
Sigridur has performed with The Classical Opera Company, British Youth Opera, English Touring Opera, she covered at the Glyndebourne Opera, and sang several roles with the Benjamin Britten International Opera School. She was a member of the Glyndebourne Festival Chorus in 2008, and has performed in venues such as Royal Albert Hall, Kings Place, St Martin-in-the-Fields and Icelandic Opera and Broadcast for TV1 in Iceland, BBC Radio 3 in the UK.
On the oratorio platform, her repertoire include Mozart’s Requiem and Coronation Mass, Haydn’s Mass in Time of War, Beethoven’s Mass in C and Missa Solemnis, Rossini‘s Petite Messe Solennelle, and Handel Messiah. She was a soloist in Mahler’s 4th Symphony at the Royal College of Music, and recently performed Haydn´s Arianna a Naxos at Kings Place with pianist Gary Cooper. Sigridur has also recently recorded the Engel Lund Book of Folk Songs for Nimbus Records.
